Valence Surface Technologies to add phosphoric anodize and bond primer capability in southern California

13/03/2018

Press releaseIssued by Valence Surface Technologies and published as received — not written by Airframer’s editors.

Valence Surface Technologies (Valence) announces that it is investing in a 10,000 sq. ft. facility expansion at its Garden Grove site, formerly known as Coastline Metal Finishing. The additional space will act as a center of excellence for digital masking technologies, and provides additional floor space to add state of the art phosphoric anodize and bond primer capabilities.

The phosphoric anodize and bond primer processes are used extensively in satellite applications to improve the emissivity characteristics of RF components and to enhance the bonding and corrosion characteristics of metal-composite interfaces, which are common in commercial and military aerospace applications. The line will be installed and is expected to be operational in Q2 2018, providing a full-service solution for Valence's aerospace, satellite, and defense customers in the region.

Juan Cadenas, General Manager, Valence Garden Grove explained: "We have seen strong demand for high-quality plating and anodizing services for communication components such as satellite waveguides, electronic housings, chassis and wireless antenna systems. Based on discussions with our key customers we have invested heavily in our business to support future growth, doubling our silver plating and hard anodize capacity. With these additional investments, we will further streamline the supply chain for complex, high-value parts by providing a single source solution and industry-leading quality to our growing customers."
