Rotron Aerospace and LIG Nex1 sign strategic MoU on UAV propulsion and platform development

Rotron Aerospace Ltd., a UK company specialising in propulsion systems and unmanned aviation platforms, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LIG Nex1, one of South Korea’s leading defence corporations.

The agreement establishes a collaborative framework for the development of next-generation unmanned aerial systems, with a focus on the Medium UAV Common Platform (MUCP) programme and future derivative projects.

The two companies will combine Rotron’s propulsion technologies with LIG Nex1’s capabilities in system architecture, integration, and testing. The partnership is intended to support development activities, contribute to sovereign capability, and create opportunities across the Korean, Pacific Rim, and wider international markets.

The MoU is effective until 2032.
