Aerolloy Technologies Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited, today announced that it has been selected by Safran Aircraft Engines, one of the world's leading commercial aircraft engine manufacturers, for the development and manufacture of critical titanium cast components, fully machined, ready-to-fit supply for the LEAP engine programme.
This represents the second set of orders received by Aerolloy Technologies from Safran Aircraft Engines for titanium castings under the LEAP engine programme, further strengthening and expanding the scope of the ongoing relationship.
Aerolloy Technologies and Safran Aircraft Engines have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing the framework for long-term production supply following successful development and qualification.
The LEAP engine is among the world's most important commercial aero-engine programmes, powering the Airbus A320neo, Boeing 737 MAX and COMAC C919 aircraft families. The components under this programme comprise complex structural titanium castings and will be supplied in a fully machined, ready-to-fit condition.
PTC ONE - from Melt to Mission
The LEAP programme will be manufactured through PTC ONE - from Melt to Mission, the Group's integrated manufacturing system for transforming advanced aerospace materials into mission-critical components.
For this programme, Aerolloy's role will combine titanium material capability, precision investment casting, HIP, vacuum heat treatment, special processes, precision machining, assembly and inspection under one manufacturing organisation.
This integrated approach provides process continuity, quality control, traceability and supply-chain resilience, all of which are critical for global aerospace programmes where performance, reliability and repeatability are essential.
Chairman and Managing Director's Statement
Mr. Sachin Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, PTC Industries Limited, said:
"We are grateful to Safran Aircraft Engines for the trust placed in Aerolloy Technologies and PTC Industries through this important programme. Being selected for critical titanium components for the LEAP engine is a strong validation of the integrated aerospace manufacturing capability that we have been building over several years.
"The significance of this programme lies in the depth of responsibility, from titanium material capability to precision casting, special processes, machining, assembly and inspection, with components supplied in a fully machined, ready-to-fit condition."
