Avure Technologies launches new fluid cell press

To meet growing demand for aeronautical components and assemblies, Avure Technologies, the leading provider of high-pressure pressing equipment, announces the introduction of a new cost- efficient fluid cell press. Avure, which began as a spin-off from the electro- technical company ABB/ASEA, has provided sheet metal fabrication equipment to the aeronautical industry since the mid 1960s.

“The new system is tailor-made to suit the demand from lower tier providers in the aerospace supply chain,” states Sture Olsson, the Business Unit director of the Metal Forming operation within Avure. “Today we see a shift of the sheet metal fabrication from the OEMs to lower tier providers, in many cases smaller-sized companies, with a dedicated and more narrow production needs,” Mr. Olsson adds.

Turkish customer focuses on value and production versatility

A system for the newly designed press, specially built for the Turkish company Kale Aero, will be on display in late June at the Avure facility in Sweden.

“We are currently shifting our focus from being a machine-shop to also include sheet metal forming,” states the Operations Director at Kale Aero, Mr. Murathan Toprak. “Our decision to choose the new system from Avure was really based on the fact that Avure was able to provide a first-class fluid cell press at a price level affordable to us and suiting our product mix and needs.”Mr. Toprak adds: “Equally important, we also have received a top quality application support from Avure, including tool design training. Such support has a very high value to our team, especially since we are taking our sheet metal capability to higher expertise levels.”
