B-100C successfully completes maiden flight – Kaelin Aero reaches major milestone in the B-100C flight test program

26/06/2026

Press releaseIssued by Kaelin Aero Technologies GmbH.

Kaelin Aero has successfully completed the maiden flight of the B-100C. The first flight took place at Donaueschingen-Villingen Airfield (EDTD) and lasted approximately 30 minutes. Following its world premiere at AERO Friedrichshafen 2026, the B-100C has now entered the next phase of its development program: flight testing. The successful first flight marks an important step for Kaelin Aero and confirms the progress made through design, engineering, manufacturing, ground testing and preparation.

The B-100C is a next-generation, trainer-inspired aircraft designed for pilots who expect more. It combines direct handling characteristics with exceptional comfort, refined usability and genuine all-metal structural integrity. The B-100C is aimed at pilots and operators looking for more than a conventional leisure aircraft: a distinct aircraft concept with trainer DNA, strong travel capability and potential for future professional applications.

"The successful maiden flight of the B-100C is a very special moment for our entire team," says Sandra Kälin, CEO of Kaelin Aero. "The aircraft completed its first flight cleanly and gave us very encouraging initial impressions. This makes us optimistic that we remain on track to achieve LTF-UL certification by the end of the year."

The maiden flight was deliberately conducted as a controlled first test flight. The focus was on a safe and disciplined flight profile, initial handling impressions and the validation of the aircraft's preparation for the flight test phase. After landing, the aircraft underwent its first post-flight technical inspection and evaluation.

"A maiden flight is never just one single moment," Kälin continues. "It is the result of months of engineering work, craftsmanship, persistence and teamwork. I would like to thank our test pilot, our development and production teams, and all partners and supporters who helped bring the B-100C to this important milestone."

With the successful maiden flight completed, Kaelin Aero will now continue the flight test program for the B-100C. Certification under LTF-UL is targeted by the end of 2026, with first customer deliveries planned from AERO 2027.
