Diamond Aircraft Industries proudly announces the DA50 RG, its flagship single-engine piston aircraft with retractable gear, has received Transport Canada type certification. This milestone marks another significant achievement in Diamond’s legacy of innovation and opens the door for immediate deliveries to Canadian customers.

This first-class piston single combines retractable landing gear and double-slotted flaps to deliver exceptional lift, superior low-speed performance, and remarkably refined handling. Its spacious, true five-seat cabin offers luxury and comfort, complemented by a generous rear baggage compartment and infused with Diamond’s renowned commitment to safety. “We are very proud to have received Transport Canada type certification for our single engine flagship, the DA50 RG” said Kevin Sheng, CEO at Diamond Aircraft Industries Canada.

Canadian pilots and operators can now experience the power, elegance, and efficiency of the DA50 RG firsthand - a true game-changer in single-engine aviation.

Aircraft operators today are committed to flying more responsibly - for a cleaner, greener tomorrow. With Diamond’s innovative line of jet-fuel-powered aircraft, pilots benefit from engines that produce significantly lower emissions than traditional avgas alternatives while saving countless gallons of fuel. It’s a smarter, more sustainable way to fly - proving that exceptional performance and environmental responsibility can soar together.
