First flight for Mission 108

The first Mission M108 made its maiden flight from Kortrijk-Wevelgem airfield on Saturday 17 May 2014. G-STPK was flown by Filip Lambert, CEO and Chief Designer at Lambert Aircraft Engineering. The flight lasted 20 minutes and went completely as planned. The Rotax 912iS engine and systems performed flawlessly. Engine temperatures remained well below limits during the climb to 3000 ft. As expected, the Mission M108 flies with great stability, whilst it also has plenty of control authority. Filip was particularly impressed with the very smooth Rotax 912iS, low vibration, noise levels and superb all round visibility.

As the nice Spring weather is forecast to continue, more test flying is planned for the coming days, and the team is well on track for G-STPK's first public appearance in the UK at the forthcoming Aero Expo event in Sywell from 30 May until 1 June.
