First SM-92TE Praga Alfa take-off with OK registration

Based on the CAA CZ issued Special Certificate of Airworthiness, new SM-92TE Praga Alfa aircraft took off the Hradec Kralove airport runway for the first time under the Czech OK registration mark.

The team of people behind the company ORBIS AVIA came with the idea to launch production of such an airplane in the Czech Republic years ago. The project itself was preceded by a deep market analysis in the segment of working airplanes of this category in the world and only after that the project itself of production preparation and airplane type certification was initiated. Many design changes were implemented to the airplane which had to happen with the respect to the production and operation experiences. The result is the current new model which is designated TE, meaning Turbo Europe. This version of the airplane is intended for type certification validation process with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) this year, USA FAA Authority, and naturally for the final production in ORBIS AVIA in the Czech Republic. The interested clients are from around all parts of the world; the company has up to date registered over eighty possible clients some of which are already planning to order several dozens of airplanes.“ said the General Director and CEO of the ORBIS AVIA, Martin Kopaek.
