GKN Aerospace has agreed the sale of its Portsmouth, UK facility

12/12/2023

Press releaseIssued by TransDigm (was GKN Aerospace - Portsmouth).

GKN Aerospace has agreed the sale of its Portsmouth, UK facility, along with its smaller sister site in the USA, to TransDigm Group.

The sites manufacture a range of complex aerospace products, predominantly helicopter fuel tanks and flotation systems. While these are industry-leading technologies, they are not core for the GKN Aerospace business, which is focused on Engines and Structures competencies.

TransDigm Group is a strategic buyer for the sites and we look forward to seeing the long-term success of the facilities under their ownership. We wish everyone at both sites well for the future.
