CTT Systems and the German company Nord-Micro have signed an agreement whereby CTT will develop and deliver for Nord-Micro its Zonal Drying System and humidifiers, designed for the Airbus A350 XWB program. Nord-Micro, in turn will supply the systems to Honeywell – a 'tier-one' supplier and turnkey systems integrator to Airbus.
The CTT-developed Zonal Drying System together with cabin humidifiers, named the Cair System, will be supplied by Honeywell to Airbus as an option for humidification of sections of the passenger cabin. Furthermore the humidifiers will be also offered as an option to airlines for flight-deck and crew rest areas. "I'm very proud of our continuous sales success of systems to be used in large OEM-projects such as the A380, and B787, and now, the A350 XWB. It is also very exciting that active humidification of the very dry passenger cabin will be offered for the first time in history, on the new A350 XWB ," says Torbjörn Johansson, President of CTT Systems.
"Nord-Micro is well known as a supplier of Cabin Pressure Control and Ventilation Control Systems for large commercial aircraft. Air quality and passenger comfort were always prime goals and with the humidification system as well as the dry air generation for the A350 XWB aircraft, we added two important products to our portfolio. We are very glad having selected CTT to be our partner and look forward to jointly meet our customers expectations.", stated Dr. Ulrich Raab, CEO of Nord-Micro AG & Co. OHG, Frankfurt, Germany.
