The Materials Laboratory at Industria de Turbo Propulsores, S.A. (ITP) has obtained NADCAP certification for the testing of materials in the areas of Metallography and high temperature Mechanical Testing. In so doing, it becomes the first Spanish company ever to achieve this certification.
NADCAP certification, which has become a contractual requirement for the main clients within the sector, also covers the ISO 17025 standard that is demanded throughout the industry for laboratories involved in testing and calibration as a prerequisite of technical competence. This achievement provides further recognition of the high standards of quality that ITP maintains.
The NADCAP programme is a co-operative initiative based on collaboration between the worldwide aeronautics industry, represented by the PRI (Performance Review Institute) and the IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group), which aims to improve quality and reduce costs by standardising technical specifications for processes.
