Labinal to supply full fuselage wiring system on Airbus A380

18/01/2011

Press releaseIssued by Safran Electrical & Power Villemur.

On the verge of an important production ramp up, due to the commercial success of the A380, Airbus and Labinal have signed a contract related to the full fuselage electrical wiring system. This contract supports a global Airbus plan to reduce lead times and costs. With a strong focus on quality, this agreement lays the foundation for the optimization of processes and tools.

Airbus awarded to Labinal a program with an End-to-End scope, from early design and modification, through manufacturing and services, and, most importantly, the contract is for the life of the Airbus A380 program.

"The Labinal teams are very proud that Airbus has renewed its confidence in our ability to provide support in Airbus' very ambitious objectives. This long term relationship is ideal for accelerating improvement," says Karen Bomba, Labinal Chairman and CEO.
