New Boeing certification for aluminum alloys

04/07/2019

Press releaseIssued by Sofitec.

The Quality department of Sofitec has obtained a new certification for carrying out heat treatment processes of aluminum alloys for Boeing programs.

With it, we extend our special processes catalog for the American manufacturer, and we'll be able to develop the stretch forming activities included in the latest work packages agreed with the company.

This milestone is essential to conclude the commissioning of our new facilities in Carmona, which will mean an increase of 80% in the production capacity of Sofitec, and which will allow us carrying out processes of high complexity in aerostructures manufacturing and treatment.

In the coming months, we will also achieve the certification of new sol-gel processes and automatic priming, which will complete our expanded offer for Boeing programs.
