Gogo and Insitu complete Galileo HDX testing on Integrator UAS

A modified Gogo Galileo HDX antenna has completed integration and testing on Insitu’s Integrator, adding ITAR-free high-speed SATCOM for Group 3 uncrewed aerial systems.

Gogo Special Missions, the military/government division of Gogo, and Insitu, a Boeing company, have completed testing and integration of a modified high-speed satellite connectivity solution tailored specifically for Group 3 Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS).

The two companies have partnered to optimise the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna for installation on Insitu’s Integrator UAS. With the antenna system further optimised for size and weight, Insitu customers will be able to use high-speed, global internet over Eutelsat’s OneWeb LEO satellite constellation with a single line replaceable unit (LRU) configuration.

Integration and testing of the customised Gogo Galileo HDX on the Integrator were completed this month, alongside the FLARES Vertical Take-off and Landing kit. The capability requires minimal deck space and zero aircraft modifications. It can also launch in high seas and gusty winds.

The Integrator UAS offers theatre-level range and capacity for multiple customer payloads. Gogo will deliver a turnkey solution that includes UAS equipment, satellite services and 24/7 support.
