Radiant Technology introduces another instrument that adds safety, value, and affordability for aviation. The new 3 1/8” Panel Mount Turn Coordinator features an extraordinarily accurate altimeter and an internal battery backup, all for a very low introductory price. It runs even when ship power is down, providing excellent turn and altitude indications.

James Wiebe, CEO of Radiant, commented on this new instrument: “This Turn Coordinator helps pilots maintain a level plane via turn coordination and provides feedback on altitude via a digital altimeter, offering impressive backup instrumentation for an introductory price of $199.95 through August 2025. It is a great value for home-builders, and an excellent choice to be installed beside far more expensive high-dollar glass instruments.”

It has excellent features and specs:

- Turn Coordinator provides the same information that a vacuum or high end electric gyro would provide, while utilizing a solid-state sensor.

- Solid state design of the Turn Coordinator allows for near immediate recovery from events that would tumble older vacuum or electric gyros.

- Inclinometer provides the same information that a classic bubble level would provide.

- Altimeter provides settable altitude information via a standard Kollsman window. If calibrated, we have demonstrated that our technology can meet the applicable portion of the TSO for altitude accuracy.

- Altimeter works from 0 to 20,000 feet.

- Automatically charges its internal battery from ship power (+12v).

- Provides continuous feedback as to the state of charge of the internal battery runs for over 3 hours in the loss of ship power.

- Displays external power, with color coding for power dropping below +12V.

- Designed for a standard 3 1/8” panel cutout.

- Also provides digital yaw.

- Substantially improved boot and warmup time.

- Improved aesthetics and font representation.

- Ultra brilliant, high contrast display (dimmable for dark cabin use).

- Independent power switch.

This product is not tested to TSO standards, nor do we produce in a PMA facility. Therefore, it is useful only in experimental airplanes.

The part # of this new product is RI-2025-7. First shipments are slated for late October.

Unfortunately, due to tariffs, our pricing strategy is subject to change without notice.
