REMOS aircraft wing endures 12g load

REMOS Aircraft, manufacturer of the popular G3 entry into the new sport aircraft category, has conducted follow-up load tests on their carbon fiber wing, resulting in a 12g endurance.  The composite construction in the wing withheld 7.2 tons of cement bags, making it the strongest wing in its category and perhaps the strongest of any European two-seat design.

"The test was very revealing," said Managing Director Dr. Frank Doring.  "Similar values in strength can only be found in specialized aircraft, like those used for aerobatic competition.  The benefits of this kind of testing are in allowing consumers to know they have the highest standard in airframe design in the sport aircraft market."

Durability has a connection with handling characteristics according to Michael Meirer, head of REMOS activity in the United States.  "It is another manifestation of German quality and precision…reaching way beyond the criteria for sport aircraft."
