Samson Motors, manufacturer of the Switchblade multi-mode-vehicle, began accepting deposits and assigning production numbers at the recent EAA AirVenture 2009 Air Show.
"Nearly 3,000 people have expressed interest in the Switchblade Kit Aircraft. Our engineering progress finally reached the point where we felt it was appropriate to let the public in the front door, so to speak. And the response has been substantial," stated Sam Bousfield, President and CEO of Samson Motors. "We received the first deposit on the first day of the show."
Interest in the Switchblade's versatile capabilities has been expressed by a variety of law enforcement departments, marketers, and numerous experienced pilots who recognize the possibilities for this mass-marketed multi-mode-vehicle.
"We anticipate returning to AirVenture 2010 next year with our first working prototype. That'll be when the world of general aviation changes forever," stated a confident Mr. Bousfield.
