Subaru has delivered the new helicopter, Subaru Bell 412 EPX to the National Police Agency. This is the first Subaru Bell 412EPX to be delivered to customers. This machine will be used by the Iwate Prefectural Police after training in operation and maintenance at our Utsunomiya Plant.
The Subaru Bell 412EPX is the latest model in the 412 series, which was jointly developed by Subaru with Bell Textron of the United States . It boasts high reliability even under harsh operating conditions, and is expected to be deployed around the world, mainly for police, firefighting, and disaster prevention applications. In addition, the Ground Self-Defense Force has adopted the Subaru Bell 412 EPX as a common platform when developing the new multipurpose helicopter "UH-2".
In the future, Subaru will manufacture and sell the Subaru Bell 412EPX, as well as provide after-sales support such as parts supply and regular maintenance.
