Sukhoi Superjet 100 fabrication methods approved as a part of type certification campaign

As a part of Sukhoi Superjet 100 type certification campaign, IAC AR Certification center NORMA issued an approval on fabrication methods applied in SSJ100 production process. The issued approval confirms compliance of the methods to Russian aviation requirements. The task to prove the aircraft fabrication methods compliance with Russian aviation authorities’ requirements makes a substantial part of aircraft type certification campaign. This approval confirms that design documentation requirements and fabrication methods, including production implementation, quality and stability of production processes and the equipment employed allow the consistently high production quality, directly enhancing safety and reliability of aircraft operation. For the Russian commercial aviation industry such approval is the first issued upon analysis of fabrication methods from design to production based entirely upon up-to-date design and development digital technologies. This approval confirms the efficiency of employing the best international competences and solutions, being another substantial step on the track towards upgrade and development of Russian aeronautics.
