Sukhoi Superjet 100 resumed factory test flights

On June 22 upon completion of the scheduled test of the fuselage at the pressure equal to 125% of operational load and tuning the tensometric sensors Sukhoi Superjet 100 resumed the factory flight tests.

The completed tests allow for longer flight at the higher altitudes. Upon tests completion the Sukhoi Superjet 100 had scored two more flights on June 22 and 23 lasting for 1 hour 40minutes and 2 hours respectively. During these flights the pilots – Alexander Yablontsev and Leonind Chikunov – continued to evaluate in-flight performance, stability and controllability at cruise, take-off and landing positions of control surfaces with landing gear extracted and retracted at the altitude of 1000 and 3000 meter. In order to evaluate stability and controllability the pilots executed maneuver of shifting from turn with 30° bank angle to the turn in the other direction with same bank angle.

First 4 flights produced the initial evaluation for fuel consumption which demonstrates good compliance with expected characteristics. The pilots as well as flight results on the controllability and stability tests speak for relevance between flight dynamics of aircraft with flight control system and simulation results received at engineering simulators both at TsAGI and SCAC.
