On 19 November last year in Dubai, a series of flight demonstrations lent an air of beauty to the promotional voyage of one of the two giants which had left Toulouse in October. At the 2005 Dubai Air Show, international buyers considered the Airbus MSN 004 to be particularly seductive. Indeed, they were able to see MSN 004 flying over the Dubai emirate displaying the colours of the national Emirates company in their full glory. This first world premiere, the gigantic metamorphosis of an A380 in different company colours, took place during the stopovers, and only 30 hours after leaving the Airbus premises in Toulouse, thanks to the ADHETEC team, creators of adhesive film designs for the aeronautic industry.
On 10 November, the first of the two giants, MSN 001, had already lifted off from Toulouse to start its promotional voyage to Asia and the Pacific bearing on its flanks the colours of Singapore Airlines next to those of Airbus. The machine had also been decorated on Toulouse soil by ADHETEC teams. From Singapore, MSN 001 went to Brisbane in Australia, where it was decorated in the colours of Airbus and the Australian company Qantas.
