Timco seat division awarded Boeing contract

Timco Aviation Services announced today that its subsidiary, Brice Manufacturing, has been selected by The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA) as the exclusive supplier of courier seats for Boeing's new 747-8 and 777 freighters.

Also referred to as "supernumerary seats", the Brice seats will be manufactured at the Brice facility in Pacoima, CA and shipped to Boeing's Everett, WA final assembly plant as supplier furnished equipment, or SFE. The new 747-8 and 777 freighters come equipped with six and four passenger places respectively.

Mr. John Cawthron, TIMCO's CEO, stated "This program is a milestone in that it represents our first significant SFE program with Boeing. We're pleased to offer Boeing's customers the same level of comfort, maintainability and value enjoyed by other customers of our seating products."

TIMCO Aerosystems is one of a select few companies that can support its customers with everything involved in the interior modification process, starting with state-of-the-art design and engineering to systems and structures manufacture, integration and certification. Typical projects taken on by the company include interior reconfigurations, flight avionics retrofits, IFE integration, mechanical system changes, STC development, airframe structural modifications, and kitting services. Interior manufacturing includes

seats, crew rest facilities, dry galleys, closets, stowage units, ceiling panels, and other structures.
