Press releaseIssued by IFA Precision Forge (was Independent Forgings & Alloys Ltd).

Trive Capital, the Dallas-based private equity firm, is excited to announce its recent investment into Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) a leading integrated manufacturer of complex, multi-step forgings with a focus on advanced alloys and the hot sections of commercial aero engines and military defense systems. The Company serves a diversified base of customers across narrowbody aircraft engines and major European defense suppliers. Andy McGuinness, CEO of IFA, will continue leading the Company into its next phase of accelerated growth.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Sheffield, United Kingdom, the Company operates as a fully integrated single site manufacturer of high integrity components. Since its founding, IFA has emerged as a unique supplier of forgings in the aerospace and defense supply chains, with a fully integrated site allowing for speed, agility and precision. IFA specializes in open die forging, closed die forging and ring rolling with complementary capabilities such as machining, heat treatment, engineering, chemical processing, testing and inspection all completed in-house. The Company produces safety critical forged components for global industries such as commercial aerospace, defense and power generation.

David Stinnett, Partner at Trive Capital, commented, "IFA's unique solution has established the Company as a top supplier of complex forged products with the agility and speed to solve challenges in the A&D supply chain. We believe that the Company's integrated capabilities and ability to rapidly deliver highly engineered, multi-step components positions IFA to fill the current lack of forging supply. Through a combination of organic investment and potential acquisitions, we are excited to partner with IFA to build a differentiated new solution that provides speed, efficiency, diverse capabilities and top-quality forged products for customers."

IFA CEO, Andy McGuinness stated, "IFA's experience as a highly skilled, technically experienced provider of forgings has allowed the Company to grow as a major contributor to the aerospace and defense supply chain. We chose Trive based on their partnership approach and track record of building highly differentiated A&D platforms that solve critical supply chain challenges. IFA is excited to partner with Trive to enhance our capabilities and execute on several near and long-term growth opportunities."
