Whisper Aero achieves AS9100D and ISO9001 certification

23/05/2025

Press releaseIssued by Whisper Aero.

Whisper Aero has officially achieved AS9100D and ISO9001 certification, the aerospace industry’s leading quality management standards. This milestone certifies that Whisper’s systems meet the rigorous requirements needed to design, build, and deliver safe, flight-ready propulsion systems and sets the foundation for scaling its technology across advanced air and ground applications.

“As a result of the culture and commitment to quality from the top down at Whisper, we were able to develop a very robust Quality Management System (QMS) and receive our AS9100D certification,” said Brian Klinka, Strategic Advisor. “This independent validation of our QMS is one of the first steps in our crawl-walk-run approach to becoming a world-class supplier of safe, reliable products and systems for dual-use aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.”

Whisper’s certification follows a year-long preparation and audit process conducted by Systems Certification Body (SCB). The successful outcome was made possible with the support of Core Business Solutions, which guided Whisper through consultation, implementation, preparation, and internal audits, covering everything from design and procurement to production traceability and supplier controls. For a company building next-generation UltraQuiet electric propulsion systems, quality and repeatability aren’t optional; they’re core to delivery.

“This major milestone reflects both the technical rigor and quality commitment behind our UltraQuiet electric propulsion systems,” said Louie Tarifa, Head of Manufacturing. “It positions us to deliver certified solutions for next-generation aircraft with the precision and performance our partners expect. A huge thank-you to our amazing team for making this possible!”

AS9100D is more than a certification; it’s a baseline for Whisper’s broader ambitions. With a quality system now fully in place, the company is positioned to move quickly and confidently into production for customers across the aerospace and defense sectors.
