The expansion plan for the for the twenty-year old facility includes significant investment and the creation of new jobs in the Guaratinguetá area.

Liebherr Aerospace Brasil is set to expand its production site in Guaratinguetá by 8,000 sqm. Construction is expected to begin soon, with the new facility scheduled to be operational within two years. Over the next decade, the company plans to invest €45 million in the site, which will manufacture high-precision aircraft components from aluminium and steel.

The ceremonial groundbreaking is scheduled for next month, with the transfer of work from Liebherr-Aerospace’s European Original Equipment Manufacturing sites in Lindenberg and Toulouse planned to commence in 2026, ramping up in subsequent years. The production activities will include machining and surface treatment of high-precision components made of aluminium and steel.

“We are very happy and looking forward to extending our already well-established aerospace activities in Guaratinguetá,“ says Rogério Gimenez, Managing Director at Liebherr Aerospace Brasil. “The new building will help us to cope with the steep production ramp-up currently experienced by the aerospace industry and to strengthen our long-term competitiveness.”

Since 2005, Liebherr Aerospace Brasil has produced critical components for various flight systems, meeting the latest certification standards such as Nadcap, and operates with an advanced industrial setup.
