The upgraded light jet becomes the largest business jet fitted with Garmin Emergency Autoland, alongside a new Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller.
Embraer has unveiled the Phenom 300EV, an upgraded version of the light jet it has long positioned as the world's best-selling in its class for 14 consecutive years. The aircraft becomes the largest business jet fitted with Garmin Emergency Autoland, capable of executing a fully automated landing if the pilot is incapacitated, and also introduces class-exclusive Autobrake for takeoffs and landings.
A newly developed Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller (MEC) integrates rudder-by-wire and other electronically controlled functions, reducing pilot workload and simplifying maintenance. The Garmin G3000 Prodigy Touch suite adds 3D Taxiway Routing, Runway Occupancy Awareness, synthetic vision guidance, FANS 1/A+, RNP AR 0.3 and an inertial reference system, complementing existing features such as Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting, Autothrottle and Emergency Descent Mode.
Michael Amalfitano, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, says: “For well over a decade, the Phenom 300 series has set the standard by which every light jet is measured. With the new Phenom 300EV, we are raising the bar once again.”
Performance upgrades extend range to 2,055 nautical miles and raise maximum zero fuel weight, adding approximately 430lb of payload capacity. New True Blue Power lithium-ion batteries and LED taxi and landing lights are fitted to support reliability and dispatch performance.
In the cabin, the Phenom 300EV introduces line-fit LEO satellite connectivity via Gogo Galileo, with Starlink available as an aftermarket option through a Supplemental Type Certificate. Further changes include an odourless vacuum lavatory, improved temperature control, a redesigned refreshment centre and an air ionisation system, alongside the aircraft's existing 6,600ft maximum cabin altitude and class-leading window and baggage dimensions.
Deliveries of the Phenom 300EV are expected to begin in 2028, backed by Embraer's global support and services network.
