Deutsche Aircraft unveils D328eco test aircraft

Over 500 guests attended the Oberpfaffenhofen rollout as Deutsche Aircraft prepared to begin flight testing for 2027 certification.

Deutsche Aircraft has rolled out its first D328eco test aircraft, TAC 1, at its Oberpfaffenhofen headquarters. The milestone follows the initial fuselage cut revealed at Farnborough in July 2024. Based on the Dornier 328, the D328eco is designed to improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions and increase regional connectivity.

The D328eco features upgraded propulsion systems, aerodynamics and avionics, and is built for operations in remote and challenging environments. The physical test campaign is expected to lead to type certification and entry into service by Q4 2027.
