Embraer’s Praetor 500E cleared for global operation

Certification from Brazil’s ANAC, the FAA and EASA clears the jet for operation across North America, Europe and Latin America.

The Praetor 500E has received triple certification from Brazil's Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC), the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), clearing Embraer's midsize business jet for operation in key global markets.

The approval follows the Praetor 600E's own triple certification in April 2026. Both aircraft were introduced in February 2026 as the first evolution of the Praetor family, combining updated systems with a reworked cabin.

“The Praetor 500E builds on the strengths of the Praetor platform, enhanced with a next-generation cabin experience,” says Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. “Achieving triple certification ahead of schedule and on spec reflects our engineering discipline and execution.”

With a transcontinental range of 3,340 nautical miles (6,186km) carrying four passengers with NBAA IFR reserves, the Praetor 500E can fly nonstop across North America on routes such as Miami to Seattle and Los Angeles to New York. The aircraft also has increased payload capability and a redesigned cabin, featuring new Embraer-designed seating and an updated Cabin Management System.

The jet's avionics suite includes full fly-by-wire technology with active turbulence reduction, the Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) and the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS), designed to reduce pilot workload and improve situational awareness.
