XAIC extends C919 role for FDH Aero

The new contract extends on its current work and existing relationship with AVIC-XAIC to include new product offerings, including Just-in-Time delivery services managed by XAIC onsite FDH personnel based in Xi’an, China.

First customer takes delivery of China's C919

On arrival at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport it passed through a water gate and was officially commissioned into the fleet of CEA. It is expected to be put into commercial use in the spring of 2023.

China issues type certification for the COMAC C919

The C919 features an integrated propulsion system, bringing the Nexcelle joint venture-supplied nacelle, thrust reverser and exhaust system together with CFM International's LEAP-1C powerplant.

25 August 2022 An inlet for the C919 nacelle system is inspected at Middle River Aerostructure Systems’ production facility prior to shipment.

COMAC reports C919 flight testing is complete

Seven C919s have been built and flown to date, with test flights at four locations across China. In May, COMAC achieved the first flight of the initial production jetliner which will be delivered to an airline customer.

CAAC paves the way for C919 to move into flight testing

Six C919 flight test aircraft will now carry out more intensive flight test missions, verifying the type's safety and reliability, and ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations, following a ceremony in Nanchang.
