10 April Parallel production lines for the final assembly of Kodiak aircraft from Stage 3 to Stage 6 are now operational at Daher’s Sandpoint, Idaho production facility. On the left is the Kodiak 900’s final assembly line, while the build-up of Kodiak 100s are completed in a “mirrored” process on the building’s opposite side.

Daher increases Kodiak production at Sandpoint, Idaho

There now are parallel integration steps for the Kodiak 100 and 900, involving wing and horizontal stabiliser mating; flight controls and rigging; engine and avionics; first flight; interior outfitting, and customer delivery.

The airframe has been re-engineered to reduce drag, with such changes as replacing the external pilot entry step with a foldable ladder, and adding flaptrack covers on the wing and wheel fairings to the landing gear.

The Kodiak has benefitted from continual improvement since its introduction, with the Kodiak 100 Series III featuring improved flight safety, greater cabin comfort and more comprehensive maintenance coverage.

1 April Daher marked the launch of the first Kodiak 100 Series III with delivery to Rick and Adam Ross in Sandpoint, Idaho.
