Seat cushion sensors reduce crew workload and smart galley tools improve efficiency, reduce waste. Other projects focus on single-engine taxi and digital taxi tests to reduce fuel usage and enhance safety.

Senior picks up Spirit contract extension

Manufacturing will be undertaken at Senior Aerospace Jet Products’ facility near San Diego, California, USA, from January 2026 and the contract is valued at approximately $130 million over the five-year period.

Safran and Albany International extend composite collaboration

The partners have built three plants in Rochester (New Hampshire), Commercy (France) and Queretaro (Mexico). These are dedicated to 3D composite parts and have produced 130,000 for the LEAP engine.

Boeing backs its titanium joint venture in the Urals

Titanium parts from VSMPO-AVISMA, a Boeing supplier for 25 years, are used on Boeing 737, 767, 787, 777 and 777X aircraft. A new deal seals this trade into the future, and should expand the supplier's role.
