PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Elysian Aircraft BV
Elysian Aircraft brings its high-voltage systems expertise to HAPSS, the largest project within the Dutch National Growth Fund’s Aviation in Transition (Luchtvaart in Transitie) programme.
Led by Conscious Aerospace, HAPSS focuses on developing a hydrogen propulsion system for future regional aircraft. Although the project centres on a fuel-cell hydrogen-electric powertrain, many of the underlying system architectures required for zero-emission aircraft are closely related. Reflecting those commonalities, Elysian has been awarded a co-funded €5 million within the consortium to contribute its expertise in high-voltage systems.
The collaboration builds on work already underway through the Power Distribution Rig, where Elysian develops, tests and evaluates different power distribution technologies and high-voltage architectures for next-generation electric aircraft. It also creates meaningful synergies between projects, with knowledge gained in one programme strengthening progress in another and supporting the wider ecosystem needed to accelerate zero-emission flight.
Together, these efforts help advance the technologies, partnerships, and industrial capabilities needed to bring zero-emission flight closer to reality.
