Mare Group enters the remotely piloted aircraft segment with A&D orders worth over one million euros
Friday, 5 June 2026

Mare Group S.p.A., a high-technology engineering company listed on Euronext Growth Milan and active in Italy and abroad in innovation through enabling technologies, announces that it received yesterday, 4 June 2026, confirmation of new strategic orders in the Aerospace & Defence sector, for a total value of approximately 1.05 million euros.

The orders received mark Mare Group's entry into the segment of medium-to-large remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS). The activities cover system engineering and the development of on-board subsystems critical to the safety, reliability and performance of a remotely piloted aircraft. It is the Group's first contract in the RPAS segment, a rapidly evolving sector with significant growth prospects. These programmes involve cycles of development, configuration and technological upgrade over multi-year horizons, often exceeding a decade, with potential recurring opportunities over time.

In addition, approximately 0.45 million euros of the orders relate to testing and qualification services delivered with the new 350 kN electrodynamic shaker installed at the Limatola (BN) site; the vibration testing system, announced in the Mare Group press release of 28 May, is among the leading systems available in Europe in terms of capacity and performance. The testing orders are the first acquired on the new testing facility.

The orders were awarded by industrial operators of primary national and international importance in the Aerospace & Defence sector. They form part of a single industrial design through which Mare Group is building an integrated presence across the entire value chain, from design to testing and qualification, positioning itself as a reference partner for the leading operators in the sector.

Luigi Di Palma, General Manager of Mare Group, stated: "This is one of the frontiers on which the competitiveness of European Aerospace & Defence is being decided: working on the most critical subsystems of a complex RPAS strengthens our Company's role in the sector. From a strategic standpoint, both orders consolidate our collaboration with major industry players; entering the remotely piloted aircraft segment, in particular, places Mare Group within a significant European aeronautical programme under development. This is a field with high technological barriers to entry. The engineering of remotely piloted systems and their qualification represent two of the most relevant lines of development for the European defence industry. With these orders, Mare Group enters both areas operationally.".
