Quantum-Systems Inc. expands U.S. footprint with new Huntsville R&D office
Monday, 24 August 2026

Quantum-Systems Inc. announced the opening of a new 3,200-square-foot engineering and research and development office in Huntsville, Alabama. Located in Upland Park adjacent to Cummings Research Park, the second largest research park in the United States, the new office strengthens the company's proximity to key defence customers while expanding its U.S. engineering capabilities.

Quantum-Systems Inc. delivers operationally proven systems deployed in real-world environments while continuing to advance the state of the art in unmanned systems through cutting-edge research and development. The company's deep-tech approach leverages expertise in aerodynamics, flight controls, computer vision, autonomy, cloud infrastructure, simulation, and manufacturing engineering, enabling the development of next-generation unmanned systems grounded in operational requirements.

The new Huntsville office supports this model by placing engineering and R&D resources closer to defence customers and partners. This proximity enables direct collaboration, integration of operational feedback, and accelerated development of mission-relevant capabilities, while contributing to the region's growing aerospace and defence innovation ecosystem.

"Huntsville sits at the centre of defence and aerospace innovation," said Dave Sharpin, CEO of Quantum-Systems Inc. "Establishing a presence here allows us to work more closely with our customers, expand our engineering bench, and accelerate the development of next-generation unmanned systems. We're also excited to become part of the Huntsville community, collaborating with local partners and contributing to the continued growth of one of the nation's leading defense technology hubs."

Often referred to as "Rocket City," Huntsville is home to a growing ecosystem of Army program offices, prime contractors, and emerging defence technology companies. By establishing an engineering-focused presence in Upland Park, Quantum-Systems Inc. joins one of the nation's most dynamic aerospace and defence innovation hubs.

The Huntsville office is now operational and will support engineering growth, customer collaboration, and continued development of the company's next-generation unmanned intelligence capabilities.
