PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Transas Aviation
TRANSAS Aviation has successfully passed the certification audit of the company quality management system for AS9100 compliance carried out by BUREAU VERITAS Certification, the leading European certification agency.
The AS 9100 standard is an extension of the ISO 9001 international quality standard which formulates additional, more rigid product-safety/reliability-focused requirements for quality management systems of aerospace industry companies.
TRANSAS Aviation expects the ISO 2001:2008 and AS 9100 Compliance Certificate to be issued soon, upon completion of the necessary paperwork. The Certificate will enable the company to obtain accreditation at the UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) and to get registered in the OASIS, (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System), which stands for international electronic register of certified suppliers in the aerospace industry.
AS9100 certification is a result of TRANSAS AVIATION's policy targeted at expanding partnership with the world's leading aerospace manufacturers requiring their suppliers to comply with the up-to-the-minute regulations and standards of aerospace business.
