Originally founded in 1973 as CTR Carbide Dies and Rectory Tools Ltd, we now have three separate operating divisions covering Fastener Tooling, Precision Engineering and Hard Metal Machining. Based in Birmingham, the manufacturing heartland of the UK, we supply to a wide and diverse range of manufacturing sectors including Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Medical and General Engineering industries on a global basis.

We are Members of the Advancing UK Aerospace Defence and Security Industries Group (ADS) and Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA). We have most recently been awarded "Preferred Supplier" status to a major Aerospace prime supplier and are proactively engaged with the Aerospace Supply Chain Initiative SC21, working towards Bronze Award.

We are developing a new design and range of ceramic tooling for the manufacture of airframe rivets and fasteners where we would expect to see an overall increase in tool life in the order of 15-20%, resulting in added piece part productivity depending upon process conditions.

We have proven experience in low volume sub contract machining in areas such as tooling for spring manufacturing, tube cold forming dies, medium range press tooling, rubber mould tooling, feed fingers and various component part machining.

We ensure we stay at the forefront of "blue tooth" manufacturing technology and excellence by utilising advanced machining processes and techniques. For 2011 we have invested heavily in capital plant and equipment with the purchase of new state of the art Wire EDM machines with new CNC controlled multi axis Lathes and Milling machines.

This investment in new equipment has been complemented by a similar strategy with the purchase of two refurbished "as new" CNC Lathes, in addition to our existing range of CNC Multi Axis Soft and Hard Lathes, CNC Internal External Grinding, CNC Milling, Wire & Spark Erosion EDM, Honing, Lapping and Diamond polishing facilities.

Our Quality credentials are endorsed by ISO 9001 and the Aerospace Industry Quality Standard AS EN 9100 via BSI.
