PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Aspen Avionics Inc.
Aspen Avionics announced today, in an open letter to its customers posted on our website, that expected certification and deliveries of the new Evolution Flight Display system (the EFD1000) has moved from year-end 2007 to the end of March 2008.
We are now far enough along in our development and certification process, with clear visibility of the tasks remaining and time it will take to complete them, that we are confident of our ability to meet this new schedule. We have notified our current and prospective customers, and are working closely with our dealers, beginning to schedule customer installations of the EFD1000 starting in April 2008.
To learn more about this and other recent developments at Aspen, please follow this link to read the Open Letter to Aspen Avionics Customers, just posted on our website: http://www.aspenavionics.com/index.php/products/evolutiontracking-details/customer_letter/
To keep you and the general public up-to-date on our further progress, we've added a new section to our website, called Evolution Tracking. This page will always show the latest updates and milestones as we move through certification and into customer installations. Evolution Tracking can be found at: http://www.aspenavionics.com/evolutiontracking/
The Evolution Flight Display system has come together beautifully. I flew it again last night, and it's everything we'd hoped it would be—and more! Despite this short delay in starting deliveries, you won't have to wait much longer to experience the joys of the flying the EFD1000 yourself.
