PIAB, a global manufacturer of industrial vacuum products, announces its VacTrap® check valve.  The VacTrap is a revolutionary vacuum innovation that "traps" vacuum pressure for an indefinite period of time, preventing the handled part from dropping in case of system interruption. Designed to handle non-porous materials, PIAB's VacTrap is ideal for material handling in a variety of industries including robotic and general manufacturing.

Part of PIAB's Modular Automation Tooling (PMAT) technology, the VacTrap features PIAB's COAX®, a patented ejector technology, which integrates the internal components of a multi-stage vacuum pump into a vacuum cartridge. The result is a smaller, more efficient, more reliable and highly flexible technology that allows the design of a modular system.  

PIAB's VacTrap can also stand alone without the COAX pump cartridge, provided there is an existing vacuum system.
