The certification signifies that the Kaman Aerostructures Chihuahua facility operates a quality management system in compliance with the requirements of AS9100 Rev. B and ISO 9001:2008.
"Earning the AS9100B certification is a significant milestone for Kaman Aerostructures Chihuahua and is a result of the hard work put in by our team to ensure our customers receive the highest quality products and services," said Greg Steiner, President Kaman Aerospace Group. "I am especially pleased that the assessment results did not include any findings of quality management systems non-conformances."
Kaman's AS9100B certification applies to the manufacture of rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft and space system components for government, military, and commercial customers. Kaman Aerostructures Chihuahua is dedicated to the production of sheet metal and extrusion fabricated detail parts and sub-assemblies for the aerospace industry. AS9100 is the internationally recognized quality management standard specifically written for the aerospace industry by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), a group of representatives from various parts of the worldwide aerospace industry. BSi Management Systems America, Inc., accredited under the Aerospace Registration Management Program, presented the certificate after conducting an assessment in accordance with the requirements of AS9104 Rev.
