Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. today announced that it has received a contract for large cargo door hinges for use on the industry's newest commercial aircraft. The contract is valued in excess of $50 million.
Curtiss-Wright Controls will manufacture the cargo door titanium and aluminum piano hinges at its facility in Shelby, NC and deliver them to the customer for integration. Deliveries will begin in 2011. Curtiss-Wright's hinge manufacturing capability is part of the company's industry leading product line for cargo doors, which includes high-efficient rotary actuators, as well as door lift, lock and latch mechanisms.
