Vector opens new office for aerospace customers in Hamburg
Thursday, 3 May 2012

On April 1, Vector has opened a new customer center in Hamburg. The specialist for developing embedded systems took this step so that it can offer optimal support for its aerospace customers.

The center's director, Dr. Arne Brehmer, has many years of experience in the field of development and testing of aircraft systems and components. As Key Account Manager, he will promote business relationships between aircraft manufacturers, suppliers and Vector. Another member of the Aerospace Center team is Jörn Haase. In his role as Senior Expert Aerospace, he will support users in electronic networking with bus systems and protocols such as ARINC 810/812/825/826, CAN, Ethernet, AFDX and CANopen.

"Hamburg is one of the world's most important centers for the civil aviation industry. Therefore, it is strategically important for us to have a local presence there," says Managing Director, Dr. Thomas Beck. Center director, Dr. Brehmer explains, "Creating a customer center lets us support our aerospace customers more individually, flexibly and better. In light of strong growth in electronic networking in aircraft, we predict a growing need for tools and expert knowledge that can assure efficient development."

In addition to its headquarters in Stuttgart (Germany) Vector – which has over 1,000 employees – also has subsidiaries in the USA, Japan, France, Great Britain, Sweden, Republic of Korea, India and China. Developers and test engineers in the aerospace field will benefit from Vector's electronic networking solutions. It focuses on tools for E/E architecture, monitoring and analysis of bus communications and on test tools in the form of a "HIL on the developer's desktop."
