Plaintree today announced that its most recent corporate acquisition, Summit Aerospace USA Inc., purchased a state of the art Deckel Maho DMU 80 P duoBlock Universal Milling Machine, for just under $1Million that will allow them to expand their current roster of jet engine parts.

"Summit is a very specialized manufacturer of large engine components," said David Watson, President and CEO of Plaintree. "Summit can machine components up to 37 inches in diameter out of the most difficult materials such as Titanium, Inconel 718, Nimonic and René 41 and this machine allows us to expand our capabilities even further."

Summit Aerospace USA Inc. provides high precision machining to the aerospace and defense markets. Our facility includes 5 axis CNC precision machining of complex castings and large ring parts such as turbine and assembly shrouds as well as assembly & pressure seals. Summit will support requirements from concept, prototype and throughout production.
