Simrit presents new sealing materials and engineered solutions on the Farnborough International Airshow 2008
The safety and sustainability of air travel depend on many things including the reliability of seals. For a large number of critical functions in aircraft, it is absolutely essential that seals function properly. For many years now, Simrit has been researching and developing optimum sealing solutions for the aerospace industry. Simrit will be exhibiting innovative sealing materials, standard sealing products, and bespoke solutions for special sealing requirements at Farnborough International Air show 2008, hall 4, stand CC2.
These exhibits include:
The new Simrit Compound N459, used for O-rings, which demonstrates outstanding compression set, and sets new standards in terms of low-temperature flexibility;
The elastomer materials E454 and E458, which have already proven extremely reliable for sealing hydraulic systems in the commercial aviation sector;
Special nitrile rubbers for sealing fuel and hydraulic systems
Customised sealing solutions with sealing plates for new applications or as a retrofit solution.
As the technology specialist for sealing and vibration control technology, Simrit offers customised individual designs as well as comprehensive, top-quality complete solutions. The secrets of Simrit's success are its in-depth knowledge of elastomers, its partnership-like cooperation with its customers (from R&D to serial production to the delivery of spares), and its global network of production and sales companies, which includes its sister companies NOK in Japan and Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership in the USA.
