Frasca has installed and received final approval on their Bell 212/412 Flight Training Device (FTD) at the Mexican Air Force Base near Guadalajara, Mexico.
The FTD simulates both the Bell 212 and Bell 412 helicopters and is convertible between configurations in a matter of minutes using replaceable panel overlays and alternate software loads. The FTD is equipped with Frasca's TruVision Global visual system with an extensive custom visual database of Mexico, and a 21 ft diameter visual dome. The FTD and database allows training in all normal and emergency procedures as well as tactical mission training.
