Engineering, production and subcontracts personnel from both Rockwell Collins and AGC worked together to achieve significant improvements in performance and capacity positioning AGC to support the ramp-up in the F-35 build rates.
Working together over the past year has paved the way for delivery commitments critical to the overall F-35 Program. AGC AeroComposites CEO, Wayne Exton commented, “We are honored to support Rockwell Collins. Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Military in this prestigious and critical program.” It is estimated that more than 2,500 F-35s will be manufactured to support the U.S. Military and its allies.
“The F-35 is a flagship aerospace program, and its Helmet Mounted Display Systems provide pilots with unprecedented situational awareness,” said Mark Withrow, Vice President and General Manager of AGC's Hayden facility. “The components we manufacture for the program are critical to its success.” In addition to this work supporting Rockwell Collins, AGC supplies critical composite hardware for many of the world's most recognized aerospace platforms.
