PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Aero Montreal
Aero Montreal, the Quebec aerospace cluster, has signed a collaboration agreement with Gyeongnam Technopark, an industrial cluster located in South Korea, during the Paris International Air and Space Show - Le Bourget.
This agreement aims to encourage exchanges between companies in both regions of the world. These exchanges may take the form of jointly organized seminars or conferences.
"This agreement is part of our commitment to helping our SMEs develop business opportunities in Asia. In the next 10 years, Asia-Pacific will become the geographic area with the highest demand for new aircraft, ahead of North America," explains Suzanne M. Benoit, President of Aero Montreal.
Developing international collaboration agreements is very important to enable our SMEs to expand into new markets. "In a context where international competition is fiercer than ever, the success of SMEs depends on internationalization. The collaboration agreement we have signed today represents an excellent growth opportunity for the companies that make up our two industrial clusters," concludes Ms. Benoit.
Aero Montreal has signed three strategic collaboration agreements at Le Bourget, including an agreement with the French SAFE Cluster and a tripartite agreement between the Portuguese aerospace cluster Association for the Aeronautics, Space and Defense Industries and the Ontario's aerospace cluster, Ontario Aerospace Council.
