Messier-Dowty International announced the 1000th A330/340 landing gear delivery.
Messier-Dowty has delivered the 1000th A330/A340 shipset to the Airbus aircraft assembly line at Toulouse, to be fitted to a Swiss Air A330-300 aircraft.
This significant milestone marks a twenty year period from initial selection in 1988 and first gear delivery in 1991, through to a mature program delivering currently, eight sets per month.
The A330/A340 long range program now has approximately 950 aircraft in service with around 90 airlines around the world since its first entry into service in 1993. The current order book for aircraft stands at 449 aircraft to be delivered over the next 5 years.
