Materials testing laboratory in Michigan approved by Nadcap
Friday, 29 May 2009

Stork Materials Technology is proud to announce the Nadcap accreditation of Stork Climax Research Services of Wixom, Michigan. After a rigorous preparation and auditing process, Stork CRS has become the only independent laboratory approved by Nadcap for materials testing in Michigan.

What is Nadcap?

Nadcap (formerly NADCAP, the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is a global cooperative standards-setting program for aerospace engineering, defense and related industries. According to the Performance Review Institute, Nadcap is "the leading worldwide cooperative program of major companies designed to manage a cost-effective consensus approach to special processes and products and provide continuous improvement within the aerospace and automotive industries." Nadcap accreditation allows Stork CRS to provide specialized testing programs to aerospace and defense industries and help them to evaluate their components, forgings, castings, fasteners, valves, and base materials.

Adding capabilities to the Michigan market

Stork CRS General Manager Rick Sluiters said, "As the Michigan supplier base diversifies from being primarily an automotive market, Stork CRS will support the new work in defense, aerospace, and other industries. Regulatory standards are not in decline; our customers still need to meet quality goals every day for their parts and materials. The more valuable approvals that our experts and our facilities can provide to our customers, the more Stork can contribute to their success and to the rebuilding of our regional and national economy."
