CMC Electronics has achieved an important milestone with the recent delivery of Safety of Flight software for its latest generation Flight Management System (FMS) known as the CMA-9000 selected for the Thales avionics suite on the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 Russian Regional Jet (SSJ-100) program. CMC is proud of this achievement since the SSJ-100 on display at this year's Paris Air Show is equipped with dual CMA-9000 FMSs. The CMA-9000 provides the aircraft with multi-sensor based navigation and enhanced operational capability.

The CMA-9000 is a family of compact FMS variants that is well suited for modern digital cockpits in fixed and rotary wing aircraft for both civil and military applications. It is the next-generation FMS derived from CMC's successful CMA-900 FMS/GPS and CMA-3000 helicopter FMS. The single unit CMA-9000 is civil certified for multi-sensor (GPS, INS, DME and EGI) navigation capabilities.

CMC Electronics' FMS product family has received more FAA and other national Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approvals than any competing product for the avionics upgrade of B747 Classic aircraft. Its FMS products have been successfully installed and integrated on a number of C-130 aircraft worldwide. With recent orders, the company's FMSs are in service with over 60 airlines and military operators. ATI has selected the CMA-9000 to retrofit their Beluga A300-600ST fleet. CMC's FMS systems have been selected for the onboard avionics and fleet upgrades of several aircraft types, including the Swiss Army Super Puma Mark I fleet, the Bavarian Police and German Army EC-135 training helicopters, France's Securite Civile EC-145s, the French Air Force's EC-725 Combat SAR helicopters, and an international AS-332 Super Puma helicopter fleet upgrade. The CMA-9000 carries the pedigree of commercial FAA certification for operation in congested civilian airspace.
