PRESS RELEASE

30 % ! This is the weight saved by the light coaxial cables manufactured by Axon' Cable originally designed for the cabling of aircrafts and helicopters. They are light and thin and exhibit excellent mechanical and electrical performance.
Small and highly performing
How to keep the electrical and dimensional performance of the former aeronautics WN and WD standards while saving 30 % mass. This was the challenge that Axon' had to take up with theil light coaxial cables. And they do it ! For example, the lightened WN KX (diameter of 7.65 mm) is made of an aluminium conductor, a Celloflon® dielectric ( Expanded PTFE patented by Axon'), a reinforced aluminium shielding braid and a FEP outer jacket. For a cable with such a small diameter, attenuation values are excellent (15 dB for 100 m at 1 GHz). Moreover, the Celloflon® enables not only a low dielectric constant but also a very good crush resistance (100 daN/100 mm).
Axon' s light coaxial cables meet the EN4604-009 KW and EN4604-010 KX aeronautics standards. The conditions of use are –65°C to +200°C with an impedance of 50 ohms. Cables can be delivered with Axon's coaxial connectors such as N, TNC and SMA.
